PostHeaderIcon Pain free Birth - Fact For masses of Russian Girls

Welcome back!

Most girls can testify that childbirth is their most agonizing life experience in terms of physical pain. However, over two hundred Russian MDs, practicing the Buteyko self-oxygenation breathing therapy, revealed that higher body oxygenation guarantees pain free childbirth.

The Buteyko breathing method is officially approved, by the Russian Ministry of Health, holistic medical care to treat coronary problems and asthma. Body oxygenation index is the main parameter of private health for this breathing system.

Buteyko advised a stress-free version of the breath holding time test. After usual exhalation, observe how long the person can keep their breth in without pain or stress. Learn more at alternative birthing

Breathing pattern, as they revealed, is the major index that outlines body oxygen reserves. How do they relate to each other? It is rather simple : the heavier and deeper one’s respiring, the less their oxygenation.

Let’s review how oxygenation and inhaling different groups of folks and how this law works. Modern healthy folks have about 20-30 s of oxygen in their bodies (after exhale and with no stress ). Their breathing is hard to see or hear.

Sick people with coronary disease, diabetes, cancer, and many other prolonged conditions have noisy and visible breathing (chest movements) with about 10-20 s of oxygen depending on severity of their illness. Many studies showed that they breathe about 2-3 times more air than regular people, which is only 6 liters of air per min when resting.

Their breathing is very big and heavy as one can simply observe in hospitals.

The goal of the Buteyko respiring system is to have over 60 s of oxygen 24/7. As practice of Russian MDs exposed, this level of oxygenation means freedom from many protracted conditions, including those mentioned above.

What does this mean for child birthing? Superior oxygenation of muscle cells reduces their spasm and guarantees their relaxed state and oxygen-saturated mitochondria for speedy and efficient child delivery so the pregnant girl does not need to struggle for hours from intolerable pain.

Among the major factors that increase body oxygen levels (or makes breathing at rest very light and simple ) are:
- activity with precisely nasal respiring ( out and out) for over two hours per day;
- prevention of any mouth breathing;
- no longer sleeping on one’s back;
- eating only when hungry;
and many others.

PostHeaderIcon Childbirth Hypnosis, will it work for me?

As a Hypnobabies® childbirth educator and doula, I am often asked what exactly childbirth hypnosis is. To start, you must understand a few things about Hypnosis.

1st – All Hypnosis is self Hypnosis.

A Childbirth Hypnosis instructor is a guide. Each mother chooses to enter hypnosis, stay in hypnosis, and come out of hypnosis whenever she wants.

2nd – About 90%-95% of the population can be hypnotized.

If you are willing to enter hypnosis and choose to accept the suggestions of hypnosis, then you are a great candidate for Hypnosis for birth.

3rd – You can not be made to do something against your will while in hypnosis.

All hypnosis is self hypnosis, and you will only do what you would normally feel comfortable doing. You are in complete control.

4th – Hypnosis has been used for years for medical and dental procedures with great results. The patients are completely comfortable and have no drugs and no pain.

Since hypnosis has been used for years for people with life-threatening allergies to anesthesia, and those patients feel no pain, we know that we can use hypnosis for childbirth. With hypnosis, we are basically reprogramming the mind to believe and to know that childbirth can be easy and comfortable, and in some cases, pain-free. During labor, a woman will progress more quickly when she is relaxed, and will remain more comfortable. With childbirth hypnosis, women practice daily with self-hypnosis to retrain the mind to stay calm and relaxed.

In many cultures childbirth is an easy and natural process. Many women experience birth as easy and comfortable, so why not here? Can we experience a pain-free birth too? Yes we can, but there are many variables that affect a women’s birth experience. The expectations of birth are the biggest variable. Each Hypno-couple mist set a realistic view of birth, and their birth outcome. They must understand their choices, and the outcome of those choices.

So, how effective is childbirth hypnosis? Statistics will vary by the program and method chosen, depending on the length and number of hypnosis sessions, the materials used in each, and the skill of the hypnotherapist or teacher, as well as the dedication and compliance to the program of each birthing couple. Ideally, hypnosis for childbirth instructors will have backgrounds in both hypnotherapy and childbirth education, and be able to address each woman’s personal needs. With adequate preparation and trust in the natural process of birth, most women can have much more relaxed and comfortable births, with many actually free of pain. It is important to know that the childbirth hypnosis program you choose to use will directly affect your success in having a comfortable birth, so educate yourself before choosing. (taken from Kerry Tuschhoff, Founder of Hypnobabies®)

There are many benefits to using Hypnosis for childbirth.

1- Fewer Drugs or no drugs at all, which means little to no chance of side effects.

2- Shorter Labors

3- Calm, peaceful birthing environment.

4- Fewer interventions during the birth

5- Fewer complications during birth

6- Breech babies can be turned using hypnosis.

7- Awake and alert babies, do to no drugs in their systems at birth. (and isn’t that what we all want?)

When it comes to childbirth hypnosis, your success depends highly upon the course you choose, the amount of hypnosis taught in the course, and your ability to apply yourself and practice your new skills. Hypnosis is the upcoming trend in natural childbirth, because it allows the mothers to have the best of both worlds; an un-medicated birth, and a pain-free experience.

PostHeaderIcon Stay Firm and Fit through Pregnancy

Keeping your body fit during pregnancy is great for you and baby. You’ll increase your muscle tone and endurance which will help with labor and delivery. All women want that to be an easier process. You’ll also lose your baby weight after the baby is born at a faster rate if you exercise through pregnancy. Remember to always check with your physician before doing any type of pregnancy workout routine.

Here are the top five favorites of pregnant women:

Walking tops the list of exercise favorites of pregnant women. Not only is it beneficial for your body (and your baby), it’s the kind of exercise that can be done anytime, anywhere. And, it’s much easier on your knees – not to mention your breasts – than running. Before you begin, be sure to invest in a good pair of walking shoes that are supportive and comfortable. If you are just starting out, take it slow and set realistic goals. It’s a good idea to warm up for at least 10 minutes prior to walking. A few simple leg stretches, arm swings, and neck rolls should suffice. While walking, keep your posture straight and swing your arms in unison with your legs. During the last 10 minutes, start cooling down by slowing your pace and relaxing your arms. Once stopped, perform a few stretches to prevent muscle cramps.

Swimming is a great option for pregnant women. This low-impact form of exercise works the large muscle groups while improving your circulation, helping you build endurance, and increasing muscle tone. As with all exercise, you’ll burn calories, feel more energized, and sleep better after a workout. As for the best type of stroke? The breaststroke is probably best suited to pregnant women as it doesn’t require any rotation of the torso, and you’ll exert less energy than let’s say, the crawl or the butterfly. Swimming poses a very low risk of injury, so you’ll be able to swim throughout your entire pregnancy. Best of all, as your belly gets bigger, you’ll appreciate the feeling of weightlessness in the water.

Yoga soothes the mind and body – and who better to reap the benefits of a calming workout than a pregnant woman? It’s important to find a program (DVD or class) that’s specifically designed for pregnancy as these routines focus on strengthening and stretching the muscles that will be used during pregnancy and labor. Yoga calms both body and mind, providing a much-needed physical and emotional outlet. Breathing exercises will teach you how to cope with the pain of contractions, as rhythmic breathing during labor maximizes the amount of oxygen available to you and your baby. If you opt to take a class, you’ll have the opportunity to meet other pregnant women who can offer support and advice.

Stationary Cycling is the perfect choice for those who enjoyed biking before pregnancy because you can continue doing what you loved without having to worry about falling and harming your baby. Your breasts and belly will thank you, too, as stationary cycling will prevent your body from bouncing around as you won’t be traversing any tough terrain. Even better, you can read or watch television while exercising, something you may not have time to do once the baby arrives! To avoid back strain, opt for a stationary cycle that allows you to sit upright or reclined.

Light Weight Training is very beneficial during pregnancy. Not only will it strengthen your muscles (which will help tremendously during labor and delivery) it will also speed weight loss after pregnancy. You’ll feel more energized and sleep better, too. Keep in mind that if you’ve never used weights before pregnancy, it’s probably not a good idea to start now. And, machine weights are definitely safer than using free weights. It’s a good idea to check with a trainer about the types of exercises best suited for pregnant women. You should increase your caloric intake by 300-500 calories (yeah!) to keep up with the additional demands of weight training and your pregnancy. Be sure to give your muscles a rest by training no more than 3 times a week, and perform all exercises in a sitting position to prevent your blood from pooling.
