PostHeaderIcon What is infertility - My Infertility Friend

Welcome back!

Many women feel a sense of hopelessness after trying to conceive for months with no success. They often wonder, “Am I infertile?” The topic of infertility can be tricky to understand, however, it is important to remember there are two parts to the equation, a female part and a male part both of which are essential for conception. Many doctors consider a couple to struggle with infertility when they have not been able to conceive despite active encounters of sexual intercourse for a period of twelve months or more. However, some doctors change this general rule for women over the age of forty and say that after six months of active attempts of sexual intercourse, infertility may be to blame.

The average couple has a 15 - 25% chance of getting pregnant each month the woman ovulates. This means that a typical a couple will successfully achieve pregnancy within four months of active trying.  In essence, 40% of couples will achieve pregnancy within the first three months of trying, and 70% of couples with successfully get pregnant after six months. After one year of active, unprotected intercourse it is estimated that 85% of couples will have become pregnant. Next, lets breakdown both female and male infertility factors.

Female infertility can be a little more complicated to pinpoint and diagnose for than male infertility. There are many tests that can be conducted to diagnose or test fertility for females. A few common infertility tests include:

  • Hormone Blood Tests - These tests measure the levels of certain hormones that aid in the process of getting pregnant such as progesterone, luteinizing hormone (LH), follicle stimulating hormone (FSH), and Prolactin among a few others. This is usually the first step that is taken to diagnose infertility or check for imbalances that could attribute infertility.
  • Hysterosalpingogram (HSG) - This test basically checks to see if your fallopian tubes are open. A fluid is injected through the uterine cavity and into the fallopian tubes, as the fluid travels it is displayed on an x-ray screen to make sure it has passed through freely. This test can identify blocked fallopian tubes and it can also help clear them out if they may be slightly blocked.
  • Laparoscopy - A small incision is made under the navel and gas is inserted to help create a space for the laparoscope. During this test, a doctor can inspect the uterine cavity for things such as endometriosis, blockages, and/or irregularities. This procedure is usually done on an outpatient basis so that means you are usually in and out of the hospital the same day.

Male infertility on the other hand is a bit less complicated to diagnose. The main test that is usually done to test for male infertility is a sperm analysis also known as a sperm count. This test requires a man to ejaculate sperm into a container and the sperm is then analyzed at an appropriate facility such as a clinic laboratory. This test will indicate whether the man is producing viable and active sperm and whether he would be able to fertilize a woman’s egg with his sperm.

Infertility tests can give you accurate results, but they can also be very expensive. In my infertility situation, I did choose to have all three of the above woman’s tests and my husband had the sperm analysis test also. After spending thousands of dollars on infertility tests, we was diagnosed with unexplained infertility which meant that all of my test results were great indicating that there was no medical reason why I couldn’t get pregnant. However, after all these tests I found this amazing product called Pregnancy Miracle that I believed helped me to finally get pregnant. This product was a tiny fraction of the cost that I had paid for all the infertility testing, and the difference is… it actually helped me achieve pregnancy unlike the testing. I wish I would have known about this product sooner! I am not discouraging anyone from seeking medical advice but I really credit this product towards helping me get pregnant and it can save you thousands of dollars in testing as well as help you to achieve pregnancy naturally.

PostHeaderIcon Conception Secrets - What Are My Chances of Getting Pregnant During Ovulation?

Many women around the globe ask themselves daily: What Are My Chances of Getting Pregnant During Ovulation? Put simply, the real answer is: “as good as it gets”. But hold your horses here for the moment. Do you feel that getting pregnant is that simple and easy, or that you are just overwhelmed by endless advice and information thrust upon you?

To get pregnant is often more difficult than we assume, especially at an advanced maternal age. Many people think that human reproduction is a much more efficient process than it really is.

Naturally, there are surprises and disappointments that might end up with failure in those first few attempts.

Here’s the lesson on how to increase your chances of getting pregnant during ovulation:

For some people predicting ovulation requires the use of more sophisticated methods such as ovulation kits and sticks and sometimes computer software. Others simply implement proven and natural techniques which will save you from endless doctors’ appointments and an empty pocket in the long run.

Six months is about an average time to conceive, where 85% of couples usually get pregnant within a year.

So, when does the ovulation occur?

Ovulation is release of an ovum (egg) from woman’s ovaries that occurs in the middle of 28 day menstrual cycle, around day 14. Your timing (fertilization) window is between 12 to 48 hours before egg begins to disintegrate.

This is the most fertile period of your cycle and your conception chances are highest. In a nutshell, knowing your ovulation time is crucial to a healthy conception. Your optimal fertile phase starts about 4-5 days before ovulation, and ends about 24-48 hours after it.

When you ovulate your body produces progesterone which raises your BBT (Basal Body Temperature) usually by 1degree F. BBT raises up three days before you ovulate so while it is a good indicator that ovulation has either already occurred (or is about to), it should only be used as a indicator.

This is a great advance; life with a family of your own is a huge step forward!

If you ask yourself: What Are My Chances of Getting Pregnant During Ovulation, it is wise to have some realistic expectations which depend solely on your discipline, commitment and well-being.

Do you face a problem getting pregnant? Do you have fertility problems or do you just want to ensure that it’s safe for you to become pregnant?
